Channel Tunnel Travel Tips

Driving to Disney via The Channel Tunnel

Ready to make dreams come true? Three hours from Calais is the happiest place on earth!

Following a long car ride you and your little ones are likely to be hungry. Luckily there are plenty of places to tuck in! Eager to meet the characters? Chow down at Café Mickey or Inventions and you’ll be bumping into famous faces left right and centre!

For a truly Disney-Tastic treat, immerse yourself in Paris! Good old Remy from Ratatouille is ready to play chef in Chez Remy! During busy periods, we suggest booking in advance to avoid disappointment.  Finally, if you just want to relax AND let the kids stretch their legs, Buzz Lightyears Pizza Planet comes complete with a soft play area for just that!

Once the food coma’s kicked in, it’s time to pick a place to stay. With numerous Disney hotels and partner hotels to choose from, making the right decision is HARD! To make the most of your stay we suggest:

The Cheyenne hotel. It is Wild West themed which the kids will love, and you can take advantage of magic hours reserved especially for Disney hotel guests (just be prepared for an early start!) Plus, it has the added benefit of being within walking distance of the park so no need to wait around for crowded buses at closing time!

Top Tip: Whether you are dying to meet the characters or go wild on exhilarating rides, you’re likely to be waiting around in plenty of queues. Take something to keep little ones entertained during the wait. Tablets and portable consoles were invented for these moments!

Top Tip: Ready to book? Getting your dates right could see you saving 15% on your stay plus free half board this summer!
